International seminar on the occasion of the 150^th anniversary of establishing of the Romanian Court of Accounts

On the occasion of the 150^th anniversary of establishing of the Romanian Court of Accounts, an international seminar took place in Bucharest, 05 – 06^th June 2014. Mr. Vladimir Toth, the Vice-president of the SAO SR, participated in this seminar, at the invitation of Mr. Nicolae Văcăroiu, the President of the Romanian Court of Accounts. The event was held in the Parliament of Romania attended by high state representatives – the President of Romania, the Vice-president of the Senate, the Prime Minister, the Members of the Parliament, the representatives of government and public institutions, ambassadors, the Mayor of Bucharest, the representatives of academia and other institutions.

The event was also attended by foreign delegations of Supreme Audit Institutions including INTOSAI, represented by the Secretary General Josef Moser, EUROSAI, represented by the President Guilherme d´Oliveira Martins, OLACEFS, represented by the President Agusto Nardes, EDA, represented by the President Vítor Manuel da Silva Caldeira and an array of SAIs presidents and vice-presidents.

On the occasion of this event, there took place a series of bilateral meetings, which also the Vice-president of the SAO SR, Vladimir Toth participated in. There was a separated negotiation with Mr. Nicolae Văcăroiu, the President of the Romanian Court of Accounts where the previous mutual cooperation was praised and the further continuation was recommended. The other bilateral meetings were realized with the Vice-presidents of the SAIs of Poland and Czech Republic, presidents of the SAIs of Austria, Moldavia, Slovenia, Croatia and Greece, and the representatives of the SAI of Hungary and other participating SAIs.
