Mrs. Mária Machová, Adviser to the President of the SAO SR gave an interview to an economic newspaper Hospodárske noviny on the topic of water companies, which the SAO SR recently audited. She draws attention to the threats of privatization, which she consider as risky in this area. She points out that private companies have enormous economic and political power, which is reflected in the condition of contracts. This was confirmed not only by the results of our audit in The Bratislava Water Company, but similar asymmetry in contracts, disadvantageous for municipalities, was also shown in France and England, which was also confirmed by audits of the SAIs in these countries.
