The SAI of Slovakia President Karol Mitrík accepted invitation for the plenary session of the XXVI Congress of the Towns of Slovakia Union. In his address, he, as the former Vice-President of the Towns of Slovakia Union, admitted, that “… The SAI of Slovakia has high level of shared responsibility to resolve the Public Administration tasks in the area of public finance and public property management”. He also underlined the necessity to apply preventive function of the audits performed by the SAI SR while bettering the quality of the internal control/auditing systems within the regional self-governments.

“I hold opinion that publishing the results of SAI SR audits could, along own expert publications, might, in the future, valuable source of knowledge and information”.
