The information system for collecting customs duties must be interconnected with other state systems

Bratislava, June 2, 2020 - The Supreme Audit Office of the Slovak Republic positively evaluates the setting up of the country financial administration system. Thanks to it, Slovakia ensures timely and proper provision of national payments to the EU budget.

However, when verifying the application of the anti-dumping and countervailing duty at the Financial Directorate of the Slovak Republic, the auditors also identified shortcomings in the customs records or the internal control. They also found shortcomings in the information system not linked to the licensing system of the Ministry of Economy.
