The responsible institutions do not act sufficiently when checking the EU projects

Bratislava, April 6, 2020 - In the projects of the Integrated Regional Operational Programme (IROP), the managing or intermediate body were unable to detect incorrectly set values of measurable indicators not only during the approval of projects, but also during their implementation. Adherence to measurable goals is directly proportional to the efficiency and effectiveness of the European and national resources use.

If the project implementer does not meet the defined indicators, there is a risk that not only it but also the State will be sanctioned. The shortcomings in setting the monitoring rules and internal control were found by the Supreme Audit Office of the Slovak Republic in the examination of processes within projects financed from the European Structural and Investment Funds.
