Working meeting with the OECD representatives

Representatives of the Supreme Audit Office of the Slovak Republic following the request of the OECD representatives had meeting in the Supreme Audit Office of the Slovak Republic (SAO SR) on the 21.02.2012. OECD has begun with the Economic overview of the Slovak Republic for 2012, which results should be published in October 2012. To this end the OECD representatives prepared a questionnaire, sent it to various Slovak institutions and they came to Slovakia within their structural mission in Slovak Republic to personally discuss on related matters. The principal topic of the meeting was the public finance (the budgetary process with the accent on the expenses, fiscal rules and local government budget). The main topic of the meeting in SAO SR was effectiveness of the audits conducted by SAO SR in the quoted areas. The participants of the meeting were: on behalf of the OECD Andreas Woergoetter, the Head of Country Studies Division, Caroline Klein, the analyst responsible for SR in OECD, Martina Kobilicová, 2. Secretary of the Permanent Mission of the Slovak Republic to the OECD and Robert Price, OECD consultant. Members of this delegation expressed a satisfaction with the discussion and SAO SR representatives answers related to discussed topic.
